1099 Tax Form

Download your tax forms from Stripe Express

You can log in to your account by visiting connect.stripe.com/app/express, where you’ll be prompted for your email address and 6-digit phone verification code to log in.

From the Tax Forms tab of Stripe Express, you will be able to view and download your 1099 tax forms. If you opted for postal delivery, you will not be able to download your 1099 tax form through the Tax Forms tab of Stripe Express. Your 1099 will be mailed to the address that Levanta has on file.

Please note that you will not be able to download your 1099 tax form until Levanta has made the form available to you. You will be notified via email once the form is available for download.

Above: Once Levanta delivers your 1099, the view will update so you can view your 1099.

Before downloading your 1099 tax form you will need to enter the last four digits of the tax identification number that appears on your 1099 tax form. If you are attempting to download your 1099 tax form but are being blocked it's possible Levanta has updated the TIN on your 1099 tax form since you claimed your Stripe Express account. If you've changed your TIN and/or business type this would also impact the TIN that appears on your 1099 tax form.

If you've recently requested a business type change, or have recently switched from an SSN to an EIN (or vice versa), Levanta may have already updated your existing 1099 tax form.

If this applies to you, please attempt to complete the challenge using your other TIN. The TIN challenge is looking for the last four digits of the TIN that appears on the 1099 tax form; you'll want to make extra sure you enter the correct one.

Why did Levanta send 1099-K instead of 1099-NEC?

You may have seen news that the IRS has delayed their enforcement of the $600+ threshold for 1099-K and are maintaining the previous 1099-K reporting threshold of $20,000.

We are aware of this IRS threshold change and have worked with 1099 experts to develop our filing approach. Based on the tax filing laws reviewed, we have determined that filing 1099-K for $600 and up is the preferred approach for Levanta Sellers and Creators (as opposed to filing 1099-NEC for those earning $600 and up).

While the IRS has delayed enforcement of the threshold, the law passed by Congress still states that platforms (like Levanta) should be filing 1099-K. The 1099-K law is better suited for Levanta’s role as a platform in the Creator-Seller relationship, and helps us better automate the tax form filing process for our users.

For Creators, receiving 1099-K (as opposed to 1099-NEC) should have no impact on reporting requirements. Of course, we always recommend speaking with a tax specialist for personalized tax advice.
