Taxes, W9's, & 1099s

Contracting Parties

Levanta is a platform that connects Sellers with Creators to build affiliate partnerships, however it is important to note that the contractual affiliate relationships created using the platform services are directly between the Seller and the Creator. Levanta is not a party to these relationships. With that said, we do offer tools through our Stripe partnership to make the commission payments and facilitation of tax documents easier for Sellers.

1099s & W9s

When Creators sign up to use Levanta, they must add their tax/W9 information to Stripe before they are able to start getting paid for their promotional efforts.

At the end of the year, Stripe automatically issues a 1099-K to each Creator for all of their promotional efforts on Levanta. In most cases, the Contracting Party (Amazon Sellers) does not necessarily need to issue a separate 1099 to their Creators. There are exceptions to this, and we always highly recommend working with a tax professional on your particular business needs.

If you would like to collect W9s directly from the Creators you partner with, you may do so by reaching out to them directly via the in-app chat or email. If you would like to issue separate 1099s to your Creators, you may also do so outside of the platform.
