Understanding the Inactive Links Dashboard
Last updated: September 17, 2026
When a brand deactivates or removes a product on Levanta, any link you've created for that product breaks. It stops earning you commissions, even if traffic is still flowing to it. The Inactive Links Dashboard shows you exactly which of your links this has happened to, so you can quickly swap them out and keep your commissions flowing.
What is a broken (inactive) link?
A link becomes inactive when the brand deactivates or removes the product it points to. For example, if the product goes out of stock long-term, gets discontinued, or is pulled from the brand's catalog on Levanta. Once that happens, the link no longer tracks or pays out, even though it may still be live in your content.
This is different from a link you've deleted or archived yourself. The Inactive Links Dashboard is specifically for links that broke because of a brand-side change, not your own actions.
Where to find your inactive links
Go to Links in your dashboard and select the Deactivated tab. From here you can:
See every link affected by a brand deactivation, along with the brand, marketplace, and when it happened
Filter by brand, marketplace, or product category to find specific links faster
View your estimated revenue loss from these broken links, so you know how much is at stake
How to replace a broken link
For each inactive link, you have two ways to get back to earning:
Switch to an active variant. If the product has other active variants (like a different size or color), they'll show up right in the inactive links table. Just select the variant you want and click Generate Link to create a new, working link in seconds.
Find a similar product to promote. If no active variant exists, you'll be directed to the product catalog, where you can search within that brand's category to find a similar product your audience would still be interested in.
Either way, once you generate the new link, swap it into your existing content (post captions, blog links, link-in-bio, etc.) in place of the broken one.
Why this matters
Broken links don't stop working from your audience's perspective; clicks and traffic keep flowing, but they stop earning you anything, often without you realizing it. Regularly checking your Inactive Links Dashboard and swapping in active links helps make sure the traffic you're already driving keeps converting into commissions instead of going to waste.
How you'll be notified
You don't have to check the dashboard on your own to catch a broken link:
Your daily summary email will call out specific links that were deactivated, with a link straight to your dashboard.
You'll see a task on your creator dashboard whenever you have broken links waiting to be reviewed and replaced.
