How to Request Higher Commission Rates Using Levanta’s Messaging Tool

Levanta makes it easy for creators to negotiate private commission rates directly with brands through the in-app messaging tool. This streamlined process reduces back-and-forth communication, keeps conversations organized, and helps you secure better commission rates efficiently.
How It Works
You can request a commission increase in just a few simple steps:
Make sure you're partnered with the brand. You can only message a brand or request a commission change after your application has been approved or after you accept their invite and you're actively partnered.
Go to the brand’s profile page within Levanta. You can do this by going to the Partnerships>Brands and searching for the name of the brand.
Click into the Brand page, then click the small message icon to draft a new message.
Click the “$ Request Commission Change” button.

Select the products you want to promote and enter your desired commission rate.

Send your request - the brand will review and either approve or deny it directly within the messaging panel.

Follow up with details – Consider adding a message explaining how you plan to feature the brand with the increased commission (e.g., additional placements, expanded content). While increased rates don’t guarantee additional coverage, brands appreciate knowing how they might benefit.
Make requests thoughtfully – Only request rate increases when you genuinely see an opportunity for more coverage. Excessive or unjustified requests may strain relationships and impact future approvals.
