Wayfair Supplier FAQ's

Frequently asked questions about running a Wayfair affiliate program in Levanta.

Getting Started

Q: What is the Wayfair Supplier Affiliate Program?

A: It gives suppliers a way to increase creator, publisher, and affiliate incentives on their own Wayfair products. Wayfair already funds a standard affiliate commission today. Through this program, you can add an incremental commission on top of Wayfair’s commission, which gives creators and affiliates a stronger reason to feature your products.

Q: Do I need developer help to connect Wayfair to Levanta?

A: No. Levanta connects using one-click OAuth authentication via the Wayfair Supplier API. No technical work is required from your team.

Q: Who on my team can set up the connection?

A: You need to be an admin or top-level user on your Wayfair Supplier account, or have the right permissions delegated to you.

Q: How do I add team members, and is there a limit?

A: Account admins can invite team members through Settings. There are no user limits on the number of users.

Q: I am an unbranded supplier. What branding will creators see?

A: Your branding will default to Wayfair’s configuration, and you can edit it at any time from your brand profile.

Q: My products are not showing up after connecting. Why?

A: Newly synced products appear as Inactive by default, which gives you time to review the imported data and set commission rates before products go live for creators. Check there first, then activate the products you want creators to promote.

Q: I do not have time to recruit creators manually. What are my options?

A: You can enable auto-accept so approved creators can begin promoting without waiting on manual review.

Commissions

Q: How do commissions work?

A: Wayfair funds the standard affiliate commission through its existing affiliate program. Suppliers can then set an additional supplier-funded commission through Levanta on eligible Wayfair products.

Q: Is there a fee on top of the rate I set?

A: No. The rate you set is the amount the creator earns. No additional fee is applied on top for Wayfair.

Q: How should I set my commission rate?

A: Set your rate based on your margin, product priority, and how aggressively you want to incentivize creators and affiliates. Higher rates may attract more partner attention but also increase cost. Lower rates are more conservative but may be less compelling to creators and publishers.

Q: Is there a recommended rate?

A: There is no single recommended rate, as the right number depends heavily on your brand and your products. Performance varies based on price, ratings and review counts, and brand recognition. If traction is minimal in the first three to six months, your rate is worth reassessing.

Q: Can I set different commission rates by product?

A: Yes.

Q: Can I exclude certain products?

A: Yes. Only the products you activate are available for creators to promote and earn commission on.

Q: How do I update commissions?

A: Three ways. Click the commission percentage on an individual product’s detail page; bulk-update by multi-selecting products from your Products tab and choosing Update Public Commissions from the Actions menu; or set a custom rate for one creator or creator group using Set Private Commission. You can also update products, including commissions, via CSV file.

Q: What is a private commission?

A: A custom rate for a specific creator or creator group, which can be applied per product or brand-wide. Private rates take precedence over your public rate. The creator earns the private rate instead of the public rate, not in addition to it.

Q: Can I schedule a commission change?

A: Yes. Check Schedule for a Future Date when setting the rate, then enter the date you want it to take effect.

Q: When does a commission rate change take effect?

A: A rate change applies to new conversions going forward. A sale that has already occurred keeps the commission terms that applied at the time.

Q: What happens to existing links if I change a rate?

A: Existing creator links keep working. You are not breaking or regenerating links, only changing the payout tied to future conversions through them.

Q: When are conversions final?

A: Wayfair conversions lock 60 days after the transaction. Up until the lock date, a conversion can still be adjusted, for example if the order is returned. After that date, the commission is final.

Reporting

Q: I know sales have been driven, but why are they not showing up in Levanta?

A: Wayfair reporting refreshes on a nightly batch. A sale made today lands in the following morning’s order feed, so expect roughly 24 hours, and up to 48 hours, before it appears in your reports. Real-time reporting is not currently available for Wayfair.

Q: What kind of reporting do I have visibility into?

A: The Performance, Product, Creator, and Brand reports, covering clicks, conversions, sales, commission, and ROAS.

Q: Can I filter and compare performance data?

A: Yes. You can filter by Brand, Product, Source ID, and creator group, and compare your selected date range against another period.

Q: Can I export reports?

A: Yes. Click Export and choose Full Report or Filtered Report to download a CSV.

Q: Does Levanta offer MCP?

A: Yes. You can connect your Levanta account to Claude or ChatGPT and ask questions about your data. Follow the steps in the Levanta AI Integration setup guide.

Payments

Q: How does Levanta pay out? Do I pay creators individually?

A: Levanta breaks out your per-brand commission invoices and distributes the funds to the individual creators on your behalf.

Q: Can I pay creators outside of Levanta?

A: No. You can, however, invite a creator to your program with your branded creator sign-up link and pay them once they join.

Q: When are invoices issued?

A: Commission invoices are issued at the beginning of each month, typically between the 1st and the 3rd. You will receive one invoice per brand, and invoices include all reconciliation adjustments from the previous month.

Q: What is auto-billing, and what if it is disabled?

A: If auto-billing is enabled, your payment method is charged automatically on the day the invoice is issued. If it is disabled, invoices are emailed to you on net-30 terms, meaning payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date.

Q: What are the transaction fees for creator commission payments?

A: 2.9% for US credit cards, and up to 5.4% for international cards with currency conversion. You can avoid these fees by paying via ACH Direct Debit or manual bank transfer.

Q: How long does a manual bank transfer take?

A: Bank transfers can take up to five business days to process. We recommend initiating the transfer early to make sure it arrives before the invoice due date.

Q: I am getting an error setting up ACH. What should I do?

A: Email us at operations@levanta.io with your ACH details. You will be asked to confirm a micro-deposit code, which arrives in the format SM-XXXX.

Program Performance

Q: How long until I see results?

A: Suppliers typically start seeing results 30 to 90 days after launch. This varies by brand prominence, product reviews, price point, and level of creator outreach.

Q: Who do I contact for help?

A: Email us at cs@levanta.io, use the onsite chatbot, browse the knowledge base, or submit a support ticket.
